McGee Welcomed as New Russellville Market Manager

[April 15 | Mena, ARK]  Union Bank River Valley President Steven Sosebee has announced the addition of Jason McGee as Senior Vice-President and Russellville Market Manager.  “Jason is an experienced banker who has built a successful career driven by a passion to serve the people of his hometown. He is the perfect fit for all that Union Bank stands for and we couldn’t imagine anyone better to introduce our community bank to Russellville,” said Sosebee.

McGee said that he realized while working as a part-time bank teller in college that banking would be a great career fit for him and added with a smile, “Seventeen years later, I’m still enjoying it.”  He continued, “Banking, for me, is a career that allows me to help the people in my hometown.” He explained that it is very rewarding to help people buy their first home, start a new business or farm, build retirement assets or to navigate serious life events. “I enjoy knowing that I’m in a position to help people.”

Union Bank appealed to McGee because it is a community bank that has been built on its commitment to its communities and its customers. “There are local people making those local decisions,” added Sosebee.

“I chose to move to Union Bank because I believe it to be a company that shares my passion to serve the small communities we call home. I couldn’t be more excited to introduce Union Bank to Russellville. I know that I am now in the best position yet to serve my community,” said McGee.

McGee was born and raised in the Russellville area. He and his wife, Whitley, have one daughter, Maylee. Outside of spending time with his family, he enjoys the plethora of outdoor recreational opportunities that the River Valley amply provides like hunting and fishing.

Committed to serving his community beyond banking, McGee also serves as a board member for the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce as well as being a Red Coat Ambassador for the organization whose mission is to support the economic growth of the area. He is treasurer for the Stanley Newton Memorial Scholarship Fund and serves on the Business Advisory Council for the Arkansas Tech University College of Business.

McGee’s office is being finished and will be located within the recently restored 500 Building at 500 West Main Street in downtown Russellville. A ribbon cutting and welcome reception will be announced in the coming weeks.
