Union Bank President Kevin Williams is proud to announce that Vice-President Ravan Wagner has graduated the prestigious Barret Graduate School of Banking with honors.
“Ravan has shown an exceptional commitment to professional growth during her time at Union Bank, consistently pushing herself to learn and lead at a higher level. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Barret School of Banking is an achievement that reflects her work ethic, focus, and dedication to excellence. I am proud of Ravan and grateful for the impact her continued growth has on our bank and the people we serve,” said Williams of Wagner’s impressive accomplishment.
Located in Memphis, Tennessee, Barret is a rigorous three-year program tailored for career-oriented individuals in commercial banking. It requires an annual, one-week residency session, comprising 40 hours of classroom instruction each year with out of the classroom projects completed throughout as well.
Senior Vice-President Jason Sullivan spoke of Ravan’s commitment to her profession and the local community, “Ravan is a highly motivated individual. This is displayed daily at Union Bank through her work ethic and loan production. She is a trusted resource for the entire lending team.” Sullivan continued, “Ravan consistently volunteers and participates in local activities, always representing herself and Union Bank positively within the community. She is the definition of a community banker.”
Wagner joined Union Bank in 2018 as a loan officer and later promoted to a vice-president in 2024. She is open in sharing that serving as a lender has been her goal since high school. She is beloved by her customers and her desire to serve them, and the local community is evident. Wagner was voted Citizen of the Year in 2024.
She is a graduate of Acorn High School and holds her Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness degree from Southern Arkansas University.
