Union Bank Deepens Commitment to Growing Russellville Market
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. | September 26, 2026 — Union Bank's continued investment in the Russellville market is gaining momentum with the addition of three local banking professionals who bring decades of experience, leadership, and community involvement to the expanding bank.
Union Bank Russellville Market Leader Jason McGee recently announced the addition of Adam Waldron and Tammy Burchett to the local Russellville team. In addition, Stephanie Mathis has joined Union Bank's senior leadership team as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking & Operations, overseeing retail banking and branch operations across the bank's ten locations throughout the River Valley and Ouachitas.
A Russellville native, Waldron joins Union Bank as a Loan Officer, bringing more than 18 years of banking experience. Throughout his career, he has served as a commercial loan officer and as a member of a bank board of directors.
His professional accomplishments include graduating from Lending School in 2004, Consumer Lending School in 2005, and Commercial Lending School in 2006. Beyond banking, Waldron has dedicated countless hours to community service, supporting organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lions Club, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, and numerous other nonprofit initiatives.
Waldron and his wife, Stacy, have three sons, ages 17, 13, and 9.
Having watched Union Bank's growth and impact in Russellville, Waldron said he is excited to join an organization committed to investing in local families and businesses.
Burchett joins Union Bank with more than 22 years of experience as a commercial loan assistant, following 16 years as a title company closing agent. Her extensive industry knowledge and strong customer relationships have made her a familiar and trusted face throughout the Russellville community.
McGee, who previously worked alongside Burchett, said her reputation speaks for itself.
"Tammy is a well-known banker in the Russellville area with a large following of people who trust her," McGee said. "We are extremely fortunate to have her on our team."
McGee added that he is grateful for the warm reception Union Bank has received since entering the Russellville market.
"As a true community bank, Union Bank is built on relationships and a long-standing commitment to the people and places we serve," McGee said. "For more than 90 years, Union has invested in local communities, and it's encouraging to see that commitment continue to resonate with families and businesses throughout the River Valley."
Also joining the organization is Russellville native and Arkansas Tech University alumna Stephanie Mathis, who will serve as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking & Operations. While based primarily in Russellville, Mathis will support operations and retail banking initiatives across all Union Bank locations as a member of the bank's senior leadership team.
Mathis brings 28 years of banking experience and has held leadership roles in retail banking, marketing, and branch operations. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for building strong relationships, fostering collaboration, and helping teams work toward shared goals.
"I am excited to join a bank that genuinely cares for its team members, serves its customers with purpose, and is deeply connected to the communities it serves," Mathis said. "What drew me to Union Bank is its relationship-driven culture, where people are known by name, sincerely appreciated for their contributions, and valued for who they are, not simply the role they hold. That's the kind of organization I am proud to be part of."
McGee said the addition of Waldron, Burchett, and Mathis further positions Union Bank for long-term growth in Russellville while reinforcing its commitment to delivering relationship-focused community banking.
